Civil disputes rarely resolve themselves, and delay usually favours whoever is in the wrong. We represent clients in contract disputes, recovery suits, injunctions, and civil appeals, from the District Courts through to the High Court, with a focus on resolving matters as decisively as possible.
Common questions
How long does a civil suit take in Pakistan?
It varies enormously by case type, court workload, and whether the matter is contested at every stage. A straightforward recovery suit can resolve in months; a disputed property or contract matter can take considerably longer, especially through multiple rounds of appeal.
Can I get urgent relief while a case is still ongoing?
Yes — interim injunctions and stay orders exist specifically for this, to preserve a position (stop an asset being sold, a demolition proceeding, etc.) while the underlying case is heard.
What happens if the other party ignores a court decree?
A decree that isn't voluntarily complied with can be enforced through execution proceedings — which can include attachment of assets or, in some cases, contempt proceedings against the non-complying party.
