Real Estate

Navigating property transactions, disputes, and regulation across Pakistan.

Overview

As property prices move and restrictive covenants and association by-laws become more common, buyers, sellers, and developers need clear legal footing. We assist with property transactions, title verification, financing arrangements, and real estate disputes.

What we handle

Common questions

What should I check before buying property in Pakistan?

At minimum: the seller's title chain, any existing encumbrances or mortgages, whether the property has any pending litigation attached to it, and that the development itself is approved by the relevant authority (such as the CDA in Islamabad). Skipping title verification is the single most common cause of property disputes we see.

How long does property registration take after purchase?

Once a sale deed is executed, registration and mutation of records can typically be completed within a few weeks, though timelines vary by province and how current the property's existing records are.

Can a non-resident Pakistani buy or sell property remotely?

Yes, generally through a properly attested power of attorney, which lets a lawyer or trusted representative execute the transaction on your behalf without you needing to be physically present in Pakistan.
