Succession Certificates
Obtaining the certificate needed to access a deceased person's movable assets — now available through NADRA or the civil court.
What this involves
Choosing the right route: NADRA or court
Since the Letters of Administration and Succession Certificates (Amendment) Act 2025, heirs can apply through NADRA's Succession Facilitation Units (typically 15–30 days, uncontested) or file directly in civil court (typically 2–4 months, longer if contested). We advise on which route actually fits your situation — NADRA is faster when all heirs agree and the estate is straightforward; court is often necessary where there's a dispute, a minor heir, or heirs abroad who need evidence recorded.
Court petition filing
Where the court route is the right one, we prepare and file the succession certificate petition under the Succession Act, 1925 on behalf of the legal heirs.
Heir verification & documentation
Heir status is documented and verified thoroughly, since gaps here are the most common reason succession applications are delayed — whether filed through NADRA or the court.
Bank & asset transfer follow-through
Once the certificate is issued, we follow through on the bank and asset transfers it enables, so the process doesn't stall at the last step.
